Director étienne Sauret likewise delves into the broader world of psychedelic research - where the fields of chemistry, neuroscience and philosophy intersect - and investigates whether or not this particular field could aid in solving the deepest mysteries of the human mind.

　　赌神之子沙三少（梁朝伟 饰）和赌霸传人任天仇（郑伊健 饰）为争夺至尊赌皇的头衔，决定通过一场至尊赌皇大赛三局两胜决出胜负。沙三少长期的好吃懒做，也无心成为至尊赌皇，满足于做赌场中的一个小人物。毫无意外地，第一回合下来，沙三少惨败给了任天仇，经过一番考虑他决定找来中国 赌圣许文龙（梁家辉 饰）来帮忙，沙家的管家细梅姐（曾志伟 饰）还请来神探罗拔（梁家辉 饰）和怪侠一枝梅（曾志伟 饰）进入到沙家防备任天仇派杀手行刺。沙三少为了确保接下来的比赛能胜出，屡次偷捽牌神功秘笈却无功而返，最后还因意外无法出赛。沙家就这样落败？许文龙等人又将如何挽回这败局？
